You can handle the problem today, but in the future
too

One way you can be certain that you can address your subsequent
troubles is by recalling how you have dealt with similar obstacles in the past.
Remember how you resolved an issue in the past and visualize in your mind’s eye
that you can address such challenges with certainty.

Furthermore, write down on a piece of paper a successful result
you have applied in that particular situation.

Now that you have taken the appropriate steps to identify what
you were really feeling, appreciate your positive emotions instead of fighting
them. Understand what they actually meant to you and the lesson you learned
from. Figure out how you create a successful strategy for handling a crisis and
utilize it in future situations with certainty. Feel good and get excited that
that you have handled negative emotions immediately. Don’t stick with these
negative emotions. Visualize yourself creating a change purposefully and
rehearse mentally that your perception or action has changed. Remember, your new
outlook will transform the way you feel not only in the here and now, but in the
future as well.

Often people do not know how they really feel. They are
controlled and influenced by their negative emotions. Instead of being
overwhelmed by emotions, step back and observe and ask yourself, “What am I
really feeling at this instant?” Your first response is “I am feeling angry” or
“I am feeling uneasy” or “I am feeling great.” Realize that feeling angry is
fundamentally different from feeling great or anxious or unsure. When you quiet
your mind, it is easy to figure out a solution; hence, you can handle a
situation much more quickly and easily.

If, for example, at this moment you feel rejected, perhaps on a
deeper level you actually feel separated from others. Then, you ask again, “Am I
feeling rejected or am I feeling disappointed with the uncomfortable environment
around me or the uncertainty I feel?” You need to observe your emotions at the
time and lower your barriers, which makes it easier to learn from your
emotions.

You
must not misunderstand your emotions. Anything you feel wrongly is easy to
miscommunicate with yourself and others. Be aware that there is a part of your
mind sending you a signal of support, a cause of action that urges you to
change your perception of some aspects of your life or your actions. If you
trust your emotions, even though you don’t understand them at the moment, all
your emotions will support you in making a positive transformation. You will
move forward toward a solution. Remember, whatever you resist tends to persist.
Practice the feeling of always appreciating every emotion. You will find that
your emotions calm down almost immediately.
